PIA BECK IS A WOMAN OF MANY HATS -- A GGP AFFILIATE BEING ONE OF THEM. WE ARE SO HAPPY TO TO HAVE HER HERE TO SHARE ABOUT HER HATS SHE EMBRACES, HER ADVICE FOR FEMALE ENTREPRENEURS + MORE.
Hey, there! I’m Pia, CEO of Curate Well Co., which is coaching, consulting + community that supports female entrepreneurs in starting and scaling service-based businesses. I combine purpose and process to help our clients build savvy, streamlined, strategic businesses — so they can make massive aligned + authentic impact and leave a legacy.
At Curate Well Co., we believe in a curated life on purpose through sharing your unique gifts. I started Curate Well Co. because I believe you don't have to change who you are to be successful. Because I believe each one of us is expert at something. Because I believe (and now know from experience) that there are thousands of people with a problem you can uniquely and exceptionally solve.
What are the roles or hats you lead in your life?
I’m an entrepreneur, a fiancee, a leader, a friend, a champion, an ally, a HOP (highly organized person) and — most importantly — I’m me. My most important role these days is to be wholly, completely myself, and to support others in being themselves too.
What hats do you find the most challenging and what do you do to embrace them?
I think every hat has its challenges at times. As an entrepreneur I’m challenged daily with problems I’ve never had to solve before. As a partner, I’m challenged to slow down, to rest and to nurture connection while at the helm of a high-growth business. As a leader and manager, I’m challenged by all the systems we’re breaking with our growth! And as a human, I’m challenged by the same things as everyone else — navigating our world today with empathy, grace, and purpose.
I find that two things help me to embrace challenges — curiosity and data! I’ve held myself accountable to asking more questions this year (as a black-and-white thinker by nature, practicing wonderment has been a game-changer for me). I’ve also experienced the power of data! Nothing equips me to overcome challenges like being able to look at the facts and make an informed, empowered decision.
Who or what inspires you?
Our clients and community are such an inspiration to me! A friend recently told me that my face lights up and she can hear it in my voice when I’m on to something that’s going to change someone’s life. When I get to flex my creativity and execute on my vision as a way of giving back and supporting people, I feel alive. When I have a new vision and can see a course of action to carry out that vision — real goals, actionable objectives, and a plan to successfully achieve them, I get fired up.
What are you up to in your life right now that’s making a huge difference for you?
I’ve been told I’m both intentional and intense — time is never wasted with me! However, I also know that my personal work is in slowing down, having patience, being gentle with myself and others, and bringing people along with me so we can go farther together. I’m finding time for reflection and rest so I can have a bigger impact.

What advice do you have for female entrepreneurs?
-
Know the person you serve in as much detail as possible. This is the key to successful marketing and messaging, truly setting people up for success, and creating a community that will join you in your movement.
-
Get comfortable with numbers. Whether it’s analyzing data, talking about money, or setting KPIs, knowing your numbers is key to direct, honest, clear communication.
-
Build your support system. Behind every woman who wears all the hats, is a team of people who have her back. This could be a coach, partner, therapist, friend, or team.
-
Connect with people. Curate Well Co. was born out of activating and engaging community — in a largely online world, the power of offline connection is still at the root of long-term, legacy-based businesses.
-
You are worth it, and more. If someone tells you otherwise, thank them for their opinion, then run in the opposite direction.
